Hands-down the best grinder you're ever going to have. The secret is the bread - they've been baking the same bread for something like 90 years.
When I lived on the west coast and came back to CT for visits, one of my first stops was always D'Elia's. Always.
The shop has been passed down 2 generations now and they've always had the good sense to maintain the quality they're known for. The shop is now run by a grandson of the couple who ran it when my parents first discovered it back in the 50's. He - and his adorable wife - are just wonderful.
D'Elia's is a CT institution - don't miss it! -

Not bad for Norwich. Skimpy on meat didn't even offer me cheese. Clearly the people who say this has the best grinders have ever been to Nardelli's, Cavallo's , Or Santa Pietro's

The softest freshest bread always makes these grinders soooo good. Customer service is always A+++ as they are always on top of their game, willing to go above and beyond, and always with a smile.
